TAU! Is Officially “Enforcado”

The year began with a beautiful shared journey alongside Professor Glória and her family, at Quinta da Barria — one of the estates that best preserves the traditional vinha de enforcado (trellised high-vine system) in the region. Today, the quinta produces mainly for family use, but it was once one of the main exporters of new wine barrels for the famous Penha festivities in Guimarães.

It was there, high up among the plane trees and poplars that support these remarkable vines, that we harvested the grapes which will give life to our own enforcados.

This new TAU! project became possible thanks to the collaboration with artists @Rita Castro Neves and Daniel Moreira, who introduced us to an imagined bridge — stretching from Barcelos to Lousada — built by @Carlos Baptista, a passionate researcher and advocate of the vinha de enforcado tradition.

A project rooted in history, lifted by creativity, and carried forward through collaboration — TAU! is now officially enforcado.
